quick update

Hmmmm....not much time for blogging these days. We were able to bring Kaden home from the hospital on Monday. It was difficult not to be able to all come home together, but we knew we would be back for Kenley on Tuesday, and that made it a little easier. Our first night went pretty smoothly. Then Tuesday we were able to get Kenley, and after a LONG discharge we were finally able to come home as a family of four. Wow, a little surreal!  Our life will never be the same!! Kaden has been on the biliblanket for his jaundice since being in the hospital and while at home. He has to have it on at all times, which makes life a little difficult. Both kids have appointments with the doctor today, so we are really hoping to be able to get rid of it. I am planning on posting some pictures from our hospital stay, but I suppose by the time I get them all uploaded you won't be reading this until this afternoon.
(*This was my update this morning)

It's now going on 6:00 and I've got a little chance to sit down and write some more. The doctor visit went well today. Both kids look perfect! The dr. from Sioux Falls called and said that Kaden's biliruben numbers were going down so that we could take him off the biliblanket....yayyyy!!!  We hated that thing!!  They do both have to go back in tomorrow to have their levels checked again, but hopefully things will be alright.

Mom and dad are hanging in there. I've been extremely emotional the last few days.  It doesn't take much, good or bad that starts the tears rolling. Cody jokes that he's now got three babies to take care of. But enough rambling, I'll get to the stuff people are most curious about........here are some pictures of while we were still in the hospital.

just getting started

Kenley

Cody and Kaden~an emotional time as this was just after delivery when Cody was able to bring Kaden back to our room, but he knew Kenley went to the NICU and I was struggling in the operating room.

So when I started this post this morning, I titled it "quick update", unfortunately it hasn't been very quick as it's taken me all day to get it completed. Now that we are all home, we've been able to get more pictures of Kenley and I'm hoping to be able to post more soon. The pictures are starting to add up on my camera, now we just have to transfer them to the computer......just to find the time right??

OOOOHHHHH! How sweet. You two look great and the babies are, what can I say, absolutely beautiful. I couldn't really tell who they look like until I saw the picture of Cody and Kenley together. Wow she does look a little like her daddy. When I saw Kaden's picture on the hospital web site the first thing I said was he looks like his Grandpa Rick from the forehead up :)(sorry Rick). You've heard it a million times but I'll say it again...You guys are truly blessed. Take care and we will be looking forward to more blogs (when you have time) and even more so looking forward to meeting them in person. Remember we are just a short drive away if you need anything. Take care everyone!!!!!
